The Elmont Fire Department (established in 1928) has a long tradition of volunteer service to the community. In becoming a volunteer you will be providing the residents of your community, possibly your friends and neighbors, with an outstanding and dedicated Fire Department & Ambulance service. You can make a big difference in your life and the lives of others by volunteering your time as a firefighter or emergency medical technician. If you are interested in joining or have any further questions please stop by any Elmont Firehouse (Sunday mornings are best) or call the Chiefs' Office at 516-354-4560.
